Sports Osteoporosis Fix

Research experts at Glasgow Caledonian University shows, sports provide significant benefits for patients with bone loss.

Regular physical exercise was able to improve bone density and reduce fracture risk in women with osteoporosis.
Conclusions are drawn after reviewing 43 studies that all see the effects of exercise programs on bone health of postmenopausal women. This study involved about 4,300 women who have osteoporosis.

The analysis showed that women who exercise benefit of physical strength, which increases bone density, thereby reducing the risk of bone patang.

Women who exercised regularly experienced an average bone loss of about 1 percent less than those who did not exercise. Fracture risk in those who exercise regularly are also reduced from 11 men per 100 women to only 7 people per 100 women.

"Bone loss is an inevitable part of aging, and our review shows that exercise (exercise of physical force) can slow down bone loss. But, exercise should be done regularly, because if you stop practicing, mean bone loss will continue at the same level as before "said lead author Tracey Howe, whose research is published Conchrane Collaboration.

According to the National Osteoporosis Society, half of women and a fifth of men over age 50 will suffer a fracture. The majority of cases these fractures result from osteoporosis
